  2. The Service is subject to rules, policies, and procedures defined by third parties such as upstream registrars, registries, certification authorities (CAs), and ICANN (hereinafter “Third Party Rules”). You agree to comply with the Third Party Rules when using the Service.
  3. In the event of a conflict between these terms, our guidance (application screen, pricing table, FAQ, etc.), and Third Party Rules, with respect to the relevant domain name or SSL certificate, the Third Party Rules shall take precedence and apply.
  4. Ancillary services such as DNS services and email forwarding may be provided in connection with the Service. The provision conditions and scope of ancillary services shall follow our guidance or separately defined conditions.
  5. If you perform the application operation or use the Service, you are deemed to have agreed to these terms.

The terms used in these terms are defined as follows.

  1. Customer: An individual or corporation that uses the Service.
  2. Domain Name: An identifier consisting of letters used on the Internet.

  4. Upstream Registrar: An accredited registrar with which we contract with the registry directly to provide the Service (including operators designated separately by us).

  6. Certification Authority (CA): An operator that issues and manages SSL certificates.
  7. Registration Information: Application information requested by a registry, certification authority, or similar entity (including name, address, telephone number, email address, organization information, authentication information, etc.).
  8. Issuance Complete: The state in which an SSL certificate has been issued by the certification authority and is obtainable by you through our management screen, etc.
  9. Registration Complete: The state in which a domain name has been registered with the registry and you are able to confirm the registration information, etc.

Article 3 (Application and Formation of Contract) #

  1. The Service use contract is formed at the time you enter the required information in the Service application screen, click a button such as “I agree” or “Place Order,” and complete the payment procedure for the specified fee.
  2. We may refuse to accept an application or may cancel it even after acceptance if we reasonably judge that any of the following applies:
    1. The application contains false or materially inaccurate information
    2. You are determined to be an anti-social element
    3. You have previously been subject to suspension or cancellation of the Service due to violation of these terms, etc.
    4. Registration or issuance is not permitted under Third Party Rules
    5. Other cases that we determine to be inappropriate
  3. We may request additional verification during or at the time of application (identity verification, business verification, contact confirmation, verification of use purpose, submission of materials required for CA review, etc.) for safe operation, fraud prevention, and compliance with Third Party Rules. If you do not cooperate, we may suspend, cancel, or otherwise stop the process.

Article 4 (Content of the Service) #

  1. The Service involves us acting as your agent to the upstream registrar and registry to handle procedures such as new registration, renewal, transfer, change of registration information, and deletion of domain names.
  2. The Service involves us acting as your agent to the certification authority to handle procedures such as issuance, renewal, reissuance, and revocation of SSL certificates.
  3. Rights and obligations relating to domain names and SSL certificates acquired or issued through the Service shall follow Third Party Rules, and we provide the Service within that scope.
  4. Note: Whether a domain name can be registered, whether an SSL certificate can be issued, review results, time required for issuance and registration, and whether recovery (redemption, etc.) is possible and its conditions are determined by Third Party Rules, and we do not warrant these.

Article 5 (Provision and Accuracy of Registration Information) #

  1. When applying for the Service, you shall provide registration information that is accurate and current.
  2. If there is any change to the registration information, you shall promptly perform the change procedure through the method specified by us.
  3. We bear no responsibility if domain name registration, renewal, transfer, SSL certificate issuance, renewal, etc. cannot be completed due to missing, false, or outdated registration information, or if you incur disadvantages such as suspension or expiration.
  4. You shall maintain the registered email address and other contact information in a state where you can receive communications from us or third parties (upstream registrars, registries, certification authorities, etc.) including authentication, renewal, disputes, and abuse report responses.

  1. After registration is complete or issuance is complete, due to the nature of Third Party Rules, cancellation and refunds at your request are generally not possible.
  2. Even before registration is complete or issuance is complete, if actual costs already paid to third parties (registry fees, CA fees, administrative fees, etc.) exist, the amount corresponding to such actual costs may be excluded from refund.
  3. This article does not prevent refunds, etc. that are mandated by applicable law.

Article 8 (Expiration, Renewal, and Expiry) #

  1. The expiration date of a domain name and SSL certificate shall follow the period you select at the time of application and Third Party Rules.
  2. If you do not complete the specified renewal procedure and payment by the expiration date, the domain name and SSL certificate shall expire.
  3. An expired domain name may be recoverable by paying a specified additional fee during the recovery period defined by third parties, but whether recovery is possible, the period, and the cost vary depending on Third Party Rules, and we do not warrant recovery.
  4. We may send reminder emails regarding renewal deadlines, but regardless of whether such emails are received, you are responsible for managing your own deadlines, and we bear no responsibility for damage caused by failure to renew.

Article 9 (Special Provisions Regarding Domain Names) #

  1. The registrability of a domain name is determined by first-come, first-served and other Third Party Rules. We do not warrant the registrability of any specific domain name or continued use after registration.

  3. You shall confirm and comply with documents and related policies regarding “domain name registrant rights and responsibilities” as defined by ICANN and others.
  4. You are responsible for investigating and verifying at your own expense and cost that the registration and use of domain names do not infringe third-party rights (trademark rights, copyright, name rights, and all other rights).
  5. Even if a third party (registry, upstream registrar, ICANN, etc.) or we suspend, delete, or transfer a domain name due to violation of law, risk of rights infringement, missing registration information, or abuse report response, we bear no responsibility for the result.

  3. You shall appropriately manage the private key and certificate and take necessary measures to prevent unauthorized use by third parties.
  4. The certification authority or we may revoke the certificate (including registration in the revocation list) if we determine that any of the following applies:
    1. The certificate application information is found to be false or inaccurate
    2. The security of the certificate has been compromised due to disclosure of the private key or similar incident
    3. There is suspicion that the certificate is being used for a phishing site or other fraudulent activity
