This page summarizes key points regarding domain services provided by BESTNET LLC, including invoice issuance timing for renewals, payment deadlines, and procedures for overdue payments.

1. Important Matters #

  • Domain registration, renewal, and transfer are processed in accordance with the rules of upper-level registrars/registries and other third parties. If third-party rules conflict with information displayed by us, the third-party rules take precedence for that domain.
  • We execute registration/renewal/transfer procedures only after confirming payment.(Renewal is not complete merely because an invoice has been issued.)
  • If payment is not confirmed by the expiration date, renewal procedures will not be executed and the domain will expire.Recovery after expiration may be possible in some cases, but is not guaranteed and may incur additional fees.
  • After registration is complete, cancellation and refunds at the customer’s discretion are generally not possible due to system constraints.

2. Terminology #

  • Expiration date (deadline): The expiration date of the domain. You can confirm this in the domain details section of the portal.
  • Renewal invoice: An invoice for the renewal fee issued when the expiration date approaches.
  • Payment deadline: Generally “until the expiration date (renewal deadline).” For bank transfers, please allow extra time as processing may be delayed. Please remit payment with sufficient lead time.
  • Overdue payment: A state of non-payment after the expiration date (payment deadline) has passed.

3. Invoice Issuance Timing #

3.1 New Registration and Transfer Invoices #

  • An invoice is issued at the time of application (order).
  • Credit card/PayPal/Stripe, etc.: Payment is confirmed at the time of order.
  • Bank transfer: Payment must be made within 3 days of the application date (if payment is not received, the application may be cancelled).

3.2 Renewal Invoice #

Under our standard settings, renewal invoices are automatically issued 30 days before the expiration date.

4. Expiration Date Notification Emails (When They Are Sent) #

4.1 Expiration Date Notice (Domain Notification Email) #

Under our standard settings, expiration date notices are sent the following number of days before the expiration date:

  • 30 days before
  • 15 days before
  • 10 days before
  • 5 days before
  • 1 day before

4.2 Unpaid Invoice Reminder (Before Deadline) #

If a renewal invoice remains unpaid, under our standard settings, a reminder email is sent 3 days before the payment deadline.

4.3 Overdue Payment Reminder (After Deadline) #

If payment is not made by the deadline, under our standard settings, reminder emails are sent on the following days after the deadline:

  • 1 day after
  • 3 days after
  • 7 days after

Note:Email notifications are supplementary only. Regardless of whether emails are received, you are responsible for managing your own deadlines. Be sure to check invoices and deadlines on the portal, including cases where emails may be filtered as spam.

5. Payment Deadline (When to Pay) #

5.1 Credit Card/PayPal/Stripe, etc. #

  • New applications: Payment is confirmed at the time of order.
  • Renewal: Complete payment by the payment deadline of the renewal invoice (expiration date).

5.2 Bank Transfer #

  • New applications: Please remit payment within 3 days of the application date.
  • Renewal: Please remit payment by the payment deadline of the renewal invoice (expiration date).
  • Important:Bank transfers may experience delays in payment reflection due to processing by financial institutions. Remitting payment at the last minute risks missing the renewal deadline.

6. Renewal Process Flow (Payment Confirmation → Renewal Completion) #

  1. A renewal invoice is issued (30 days before the expiration date).
  2. You remit payment (make payment) for the renewal fee.
  3. After we confirm payment, we execute renewal procedures with the upper-level registrar/registry.
  4. When processing is complete on the registry side, the renewal is reflected (the time to reflection varies depending on processing by third parties).

7. Procedures If Payment Deadline Is Missed #

7.1 Immediately After Expiration Date #

  • If payment is not confirmed by the expiration date, renewal procedures will not be executed and the domain will expire.
  • After expiration, web services/email and other services may stop or become unstable (DNS behavior varies depending on your environment and third-party rules).

7.2 Recovery After Expiration (Grace Period and Redemption Concepts) #

  • Even after expiration, renewal may allow recovery within a certain period under third-party rules (known as a grace period).
  • After a further period, recovery may require additional fees (redemption fees, etc.).
  • The availability, period, and cost of recovery vary depending on domain type (TLD) and registry rules. We do not guarantee recovery.
  • Note:As the expiration period extends, the risk of the domain being re-acquired by a third party increases.

7.3 Important Notes When Paying After Overdue #

  • Even if payment is made after the deadline, additional fees may be required under third-party rules, or recovery may not be possible.
  • If action is needed after expiration, please contact support promptly (see below).

8. Cancellation and Refunds #

  • After registration is complete, customer-initiated cancellation and refunds are generally not possible due to third-party system constraints.
  • Even before registration is complete, if actual costs (registry fees, etc.) have already been paid to third parties, those actual cost amounts may be excluded from refunds.

9. Contact (Support) #

  • Channel:Support ticket system in the client portal
  • Open a support ticket
  • Request:When contacting us, please include the domain name in question, situation (when it started and what is occurring), and payment status (payment method and payment date/time).
